We have to note before anything else that Péter Szabó is a knowledgeable musician. This shows in his specially balanced, colourful and suggestive sound quality, in his technical security, in his meaningfully rhythmical, constructive spirited tracing of the melodic line and in his absorbed music-making which also gives ground to the exploration of the beauty of the details.
He was very young, only fifteen years old when he made his concert debut with an independent cello recital. Since then he has received several awards at the finals of the national festival Megéneklünk, Románia.
